Data sheet

Microsoft 365 & Azure without the licensing guesswork.

What palmiq actually manages across Microsoft 365 and Azure — identity, endpoints, security baselines and the licensing decisions that quietly determine what you can enforce.

Data sheet · 2 pages · PDF

  • You are paying for licenses and unsure which features you are entitled to.
  • Your tenant was set up years ago and nobody has revisited the defaults.
  • You need GCC High or a compliance boundary for regulated work.
  • You want one provider for identity, endpoints and email security.

What is inside

Everything it covers

  1. 01 Licensing tiers side by side — Business Premium, E3, E5 — and what each unlocks
  2. 02 Identity: conditional access, MFA enforcement and the break-glass account
  3. 03 Intune for endpoint management and app protection
  4. 04 Defender coverage, and where a third-party tool is still worth having
  5. 05 Email security, and why the built-in filter is not the whole answer
  6. 06 Azure GCC High: when regulated work requires it and what changes
  7. 07 Backup — the part Microsoft does not do for you

Why licensing is on a technical data sheet

Because it is a technical constraint, not a finance detail. Half the security controls people ask us to implement are gated behind a license tier — planning a baseline without knowing what you are entitled to wastes a project.

Questions

Before you download

Do we need E5?
Often not. Business Premium covers a great deal, and E3 plus targeted add-ons is frequently cheaper than E5 for organizations that will not use half of it. We size this properly rather than defaulting upward.
Can you take over an existing tenant?
Yes. We start with a security and licensing review, which usually surfaces both risk and spend worth recovering.
Is Microsoft 365 sufficient for CMMC?
Commercial Microsoft 365 generally is not for CUI. That is what GCC High exists for, and the data sheet explains the boundary.
