Data sheet
Managed IT Services and what is not.
The scope of a palmiq managed services agreement in plain terms — what we monitor, what we patch, how fast we respond, and the things we will tell you are still yours to own.

- You are comparing MSP proposals and the scopes do not line up.
- You have an internal IT person and need co-managed cover, not a replacement.
- You have been burned by a contract where everything useful was out of scope.

What is inside
Everything it covers
- 01 Fully managed versus co-managed — where the line sits in each model
- 02 What is monitored 24/7, and what generates a call at 3am versus a ticket
- 03 Response targets by severity, including the 15-minute critical SLA
- 04 Patch management: cadence, testing and the maintenance window
- 05 Endpoint and identity management coverage
- 06 Onboarding — the first 30 days, in sequence
- 07 Explicitly out of scope, so nobody discovers it during an incident
Why the out-of-scope section exists
Most MSP proposals are a list of everything included and silence on the rest. That silence is where the arguments happen 14 months later. Ours states the boundary in writing, because a scope you can check is worth more than a scope that sounds generous.
Questions
Before you download
- Do you replace our internal IT person?
- Not unless you want us to. Co-managed is common — we take the 24/7 monitoring, patching and escalation, and your person keeps the relationships and the institutional knowledge.
- What is genuinely not included?
- Third-party vendor license costs, hardware, and project work outside the agreed scope. The data sheet lists these explicitly because vagueness here is how MSP relationships sour.
- How is it priced?
- Per user or per device depending on your environment. We will tell you which is cheaper for you, including when that is the one that pays us less.
